Household Inventory
|
| Having a household content inventory list is essential
in the event of a claim. Here are some tips on how to
get started and organized in regards to a household
inventory check list.
1) Buy a fire proof box to store information
gathered.
2) Purchase dividers and create headings such as:
electronics, furniture, etc.
3) When an item is purchased, keep the receipt and
warranty card. Place both items in the appropriate
divider. You have just updated your household
contents
as well as created a place to find your warranty
information.
4) Take photos of items and write the serial numbers
on
the back of the pictures.
5) Take photos/video of the various rooms in the
house. This will help jog your memory in the event of
a loss.
Be sure to put photos and/or video in the fire proof
box. These simple steps will put you on your way to
creating a household inventory list.
